VÉRITÉ – at The El Rey
On February 24th, New York Artist Kelsey Regina Byrne, professionally known as VÉRITE, released her 3rd studio album, Love You Forever.
A few days prior to the release of Love You Forever, VÉRITÉ took to her socials to share some thoughts, anxieties, and anticipation about being an independent artist and sharing this album with the world.
“The decision to be an independent artist is a choice to exist outside the system. A choice that has been both exhilarating and isolating… A choice that has given me ownership of my work, autonomy over what I create, and the freedom to share my work when and how I want to… I refuse to contort myself into the perfect position to fit into this mold that has been presented to me.”
VÉRITÉ goes on to describe Love You Forever as an album about “killing off the parts of yourself you refuse to let grow, an album about cutting off the limbs that are holding you back, a body of work made to reclaim my own creative process, seven years into an independent career.”
If you haven’t had a chance to listen to Love you Forever, you can do so Here.
And here are a few images of VÉRITÉ bringing this new era of strength, vulnerability and confidence to The El Rey theatre in Los Angeles, along with the support of singer/songwriter Gatlin.
