BLACK POLISH ANNOUNCES YUNA NEW ALBUM FROM RISING QUEER INDIE-ALTERNATIVE ARTIST OUT OCTOBER 29

Black Polish announces YUNA their new album due October 29th via BMG. The daring concept album from the artist – aka Jayden Binnix (they/them) – digs deep as they present playful, dark-sided lyrics and ever-shifting sonics to relay the album’s intricate narrative. They also share their latest single, “LUSH” and announce their fall North American tour. Presave YUNA here: https://blackpolish.lnk.to/YUNA

“LUSH” follows Black Polish’s widely praised recent singles BONDAGE and BE WITH YOU from earlier this year which saw praise from the likes of Alternative Press, Paste Magazine, Out Magazine, Queerty, and more. “I don’t talk to anyone, knowing I won’t hear what’s good for me,” notes Black Polish of the track. “If dysfunction is all you know, naturally, you’ll gravitate towards the familiar. Ignoring the fact that this will ultimately fail creates the illusion of freedom so you can experience a relationship without feeling trapped.”

YUNA is a work of fiction and fantasy, and follows the 2024 release of their debut album Forest. The album centers around Black Polish’s alter-ego “Yuna,” a man-eating succubus who allows Jay to explore their most depraved instincts and hyperfeminine abilities to seduce. The immersive story ultimately suggests that some aspects of ourselves can never be fully banished, but must be understood and accepted, asking: “Can you learn to forgive the darkest parts of yourself?”
