Blondshell Shares Live Performance Video of Their New Single “Docket” ft. Bully
As she prepares to head to Europe for sets at tentpole festivals like Glastonbury and Roskilde, 2023’s breakthrough artist, Blondshell (Sabrina Teitelbaum) has shared a live in-studio performance video for her latest critically-acclaimed single “Docket (feat. Bully)” via Partisan Records. The track garnered countless accolades upon its release and today’s video captures the chemistry the duo discovered as they laid down the track. The vocal pairing between Blondshell and Bully, coupled with the tongue-in-cheek lyrics about risk-taking on tour, has continued to draw attention as “Docket” has been name-checked on mid-year best of 2024 lists from the likes of NPR, Rolling Stone, Esquire, Paste, and more.
This summer has proven to be a busy one for Blondshell as she crisscrosses North America, the UK, and Europe in support of her 2023 debut self-titled album. She recently played to captivated audiences at New York City’s Governors Ball Festival and Boston Calling Festival. This fall, Blondshell will support Glass Animals on select West Coast dates including a stop at The Forum in Los Angeles on September 11, before performing at the XPoNential Music Festival in Camden, NJ, and Columbia, MD’s All Things Go Festival later that month. All dates can be found below, with more to be confirmed.
Beyond adding tour dates to her calendar, Blondshell also added a pair of awards to her bookshelf as she took home the prize for both the Best Rock Album and Breakthrough Artist of the year the 2024 A2IM Libera Awards. The ceremony took place June 10 in New York City.
Blondshell also appeared on the recently released Everyone’s Getting Involved: A Tribute to Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense (A24). Of her contribution to the compilation The Associated Press noted “Blondshell…shines on “Thank You for Sending Me an Angel” with soaring vocals over power chords.” The compilation also includes appearances from, among others, girl in red, The Linda Lindas, Lorde, Miley Cyrus, Paramore, and The National.
Blondshell released her self-titled debut album in the Spring of 2023 via Partisan Records to world-wide critical acclaim and followed it in the Fall with the release of a deluxe version that featured new tracks and alternative versions of older singles. As 2023 drew to a close the album landed on numerous year-end lists, garnering acclaim from outlets such as Rolling Stone, The LA Times, Billboard, NPR, Uproxx, and more. Additionally, the LP’s “Joiner ” earned a spot on Barack Obama’s playlist for the year. The resounding success of Blondshell’s music can be measured not just in global sold-out tours, TV performances, and rave reviews, but also in Teitelbaum’s ever-deepening resonance with her devoted fan base. 2023 saw Blondshell criss-cross North America both on her own headline tour where she played to sold-out rooms and more recently as the support for Liz Phair. She made her late-night TV debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon performing “Salad” – watch that HERE.
