Michelle Yeoh – “This is history in the making.”

In 95 years of Oscars, Malaysian-born actress Michelle Yeoh makes history by becoming The First Asian woman to win Best Actress in a Leading Role for Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Michelle was presented the award by last year’s Best Actress winner Jessica Chastain for her role in The Eyes of Tammy Faye and Halle Berry, who became the first Black actress to win the award in 2002 for her role in Monster’s Ball.
“For all the little boys and girls who look like me watching tonight, this is a beacon of hope and possibilities. This is proof that dreams…dream big, and dreams do come true. And, ladies, don’t let anybody tell you you are ever past your prime. Never give up!”
Michelle went on to thank her fellow cast, crew, directors, the academy, family, and mom, to who she dedicated her award too, and closed out her speech by saying, “This is history in the making.”
Congratulations, Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan(who also made a moving speech), Jamie Lee Curtis, and the directors “The Daniels” to all the other winners and nominees.
