Natural Wonder Beauty Concept share new single “Diving”

Natural Wonder Beauty Concept (Ana Roxanne and DJ Python) share a third single, “Driving,” off their upcoming LP, Natural Wonder Beauty Concept, out July 14th via Mexican Summer. In May, the duo announced the project with the lead single, “Sword,” followed by the project’s title track in June.

“Driving” takes us underwater, beneath the noise of the external world. Atop DJ Python’s fluttering drum patterns that travel between the ears and dreamy nostalgic synths, Roxanne’s voice lulls us by alternating between spoken word and melodic chorus. “Moving fast but feeling slow…I like it when I’m not in control.” Themes of letting go and reveling in the ebbs and flows of life pervade this track with all its contrasting yet balanced elements. Sonically, “Driving” nods toward the idiosyncratic synth-pop of Python favorites The Postal Service. Asked for thoughts on the track, he states simply, “Staring at trees you feel it sink.”
