Searows announces EP “End Of The World”

Today, Alec Duckart, better known as Searows, shares his newest single via Communion Records titled, I Have More Than Enough from his upcoming EP, End of the World out November 10. The indie-folk singer-songwriter and guitarist shares this track before touring with Gracie Abrams across Europe this fall. The news follows recent releases including Older,” House Song,” and his 2022 debut album, Guard Dog.

As if walking out of a party into the dead of night or awakening from a deep sleep, reverb-rich strumming sets a cozy tone for Alec’s vocals to cradle the listener. The touching lyrics describe zooming out and realizing the little moments that bring joy, learning to accept temporality, and embracing an introspective outlook on life. Alec’s knack for poignant storytelling – placing us within the details of a song then expanding its meaning to deep universal life lessons — reveals itself once again on the track, which invites us to take a step back to gain a greater awareness of life’s treasures and the present.

Alec shared this insight about the song: “I wrote and recorded most of this song in one day after walking around outside for the first time in weeks. I had spent so many days in a row alone in my room working on songs I felt increasingly uninspired by. I was walking laps around my house, feeling very weird and then I remembered I could be doing the same thing outside so I took a walk around my neighborhood. I sat with some cats and watched a crow for a while. I ended up stopping every few steps on my way home to write random thoughts down in my notes app and when I got back I wrote this song and then recorded it. It was one of the fastest songs I’ve written and still felt good about. shockingly enough, going outside makes you feel less like you are going crazy.
