The Last Dinner Party Close Out Their U.S. Tour With A Grandiose Finale

The Last Dinner Party closed out the North American leg of their tour in grandiose fashion at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. Before the doors even opened, a line of eager fans snaked around the building. Many of who were decked out in Rococo-inspired outfits with bodices, corsets, and flowing skirts, evoking an 18th-century court brought to life in modern-day Hollywood.

The lights dimmed and the sounds of Prelude to Ecstasy began to fill the venue as each member of The Last Dinner Party made their way to the stage. At the heart of the spectacle was lead singer Abigail Morris, draped in a vintage tailcoat jacket, immediately commanding the stage like a maestro orchestrating a symphony. She opened the night with the fiery anthem “Burn Alive,” drawing the audience in with her graceful yet dramatic mannerisms, reminiscent of the legendary Freddie Mercury. Morris wielded the energy of the room with effortless power.

The Last Dinner Party’s raw, feral, yet delicate energy created a scene that felt like witnessing a hedonistic ritual unfolding deep within a mystical forest. Their chemistry on stage was magnetic—wine glasses in hand, they danced and sang with a wild abandon that pulled the audience deeper into their spell. The setlist incorperated tracks like “Caesar on a TV Screen” and “Feminine Urge,” while also teasing the audience with an unreleased track, “Second Best.” The night then took a delicate turn into what Abigail described as “the weeping hour” with somber, heartfelt performances of “Beautiful Boy,” “On Your Side,” and “Gjuha,” before the piano chords of “Sinner” rang out, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

As if the evening needed any more surprises, the band entranced fans with a cover of Sparks “This Town Ain’t Big Enough for Both of Us” and debuted two more unreleased tracks, “Big Dog” and “The Killer.”
A standout moment came when Abigail paused the show to call to the stage a particular fan claiming they had won a contest. The fan, however, turned out to be part of a surprise proposal, adding a heartfelt moment to the evening.

The Last Dinner Party closed out the night with their hit “Nothing Matters.” leaving fans in an absolute state of rapture and euphoria, yearning to forever be a part of their artful drama and rock ‘n’ roll decadence.
